The Tale of a Bathroom That’s All About Character and Charm

A cozy little space that proves bathrooms can have personality too

I love how lived-in and charming this bathroom feels! If you're on the hunt for bathroom inspiration, this mood board is full of thoughtfully chosen pieces you can shop to recreate the look.

The Thoughts Behind the Design

This wallpaper was the perfect jumping-off point for the entire look. I wanted to create a powder bath that felt soft but still had a touch of moodiness. Instead of covering the whole wall in pattern, I broke it up with tongue-and-groove molding—it's such a great way to add texture and balance out a bold print.

The single vanity is absolutely dreamy with its warm wood tones, fluted details, and gold hardware. To bring in a bit of playfulness, I went with this butterfly-shaped mirror—its irregular edges add just the right touch of whimsy, while the brass frame ties beautifully with the sconces and vanity hardware.

I kept the decor simple but intentional: an earthy vase with silk faux florals adds an organic feel, and for the space above the toilet, I styled a classic rattan basket with a subtle landscape art. It's those little finishing touches that bring in all the charm and make the space feel truly lived-in.
